Is the glass half empty or half full?

Is the glass half empty or half full? People having such type of questions usually get confused. It is nothing but the power of perspective. You can either look at the things optimistically or pessimistically. Take our age for example. A person, who has just turned fifty, can either look at their age as if they have spent the fifty years of their life or as if they have fifty more amazing years to live. So this only depicts that things should be taken positively.

Now let’s come back to the glass of water. Well, if someone would ask me to stick on to one decision whether the glass is half filled or half empty. I would definitely choose the half filled side. This half glass of water could quench someone’s thirst, save some one’s life. This small amount of water could satisfy a person to a great extent. If I would choose the second option that is the half empty glass of water, it would be of no use. It would just make me sad. It would make me think of those reasons due to which I couldn’t fill the glass completely with water.

As I mentioned before that it is all about the power of perspective. It all depends on how we look at things.

I have a very good example that would prove this point. Just imagine a son of a rich business man who is offered bread and butter for breakfast. He can either look at it as a dry breakfast or he can value it with a thought that if this same food was offered to him after a full week of starvation this meal would seem like a feast to him.

Once a person has adopted such kind of thinking he would definitely start respecting every aspect of life.
